Riverside/DIP Community Action Group Meeting is 8/12/25 at 6pm

RevitalizeDIP’s sister community action group, Riverside/DIP Community Action Group Meeting is 8/12/25 at 6pm in the MPD Precinct Conference Room at 2601 Dauphin Island Pkwy, Suite D.

As you know storm drains are an issue in our community and was a question asked at the Mayoral Forum, see below post for the next Riverside Community meeting. – Yvette Young

Here is what Betty Fowler with Riverside/DIP CAG posted on 8/8/25 about the community meeting:

The monthly meeting of the Riverside/DIP Community Action Group is scheduled for Tuesday, August 12, at 6 p.m. This promises to be an interesting and informative meeting with speaker Matt Anderson, Director of City of Mobile Public Services. He plans to discuss storm drains and potholes!
Councilman C.J. Small and Precinct 1 Captain Leron Lewis attend our meetings. At the conclusion of each meeting, there is a drawing for a $25 Bama Bob’s gift certificate. Thank you, Bobby Lankford.
Item of Interest: The demolition of the former South Brookley School buildings facing Boykin Blvd. was approved at the August 5 Mobile City Council meeting. Councilman Small has agreed to provide an opportunity for former students to walk through the classrooms at a date to be announced. This demolition is Phase 1 of the Community Center to be established on this property. Also at this August 5th Council meeting, Betty Fowler made a presentation (3 minutes limit) requesting funding from Mayor Stimpson and the City Council for Phases 2-4 of the center. Mayor Stimpson expressed his desire to provide funding even though the completion would be following the end of his term of office.
Please join us for this time of meeting neighbors and expressing love for our community.
