RevitalizeDIP Litter Cleanups Map
RevitalizeDIP is proud of our Litter Cleanup Volunteers!
Each orange marker indicates areas our volunteers have reported cleanups they have accomplished.
When you click on each marker, you will see the area name and the date and time the cleanup was shared in our RevitalizeDIP Facebook Group.
You can see we have a lot of litter cleanup activity in some areas but no activity in other areas.
Most of RevitalizeDIP volunteers work alone, but teams help motivate each other, plus we earn more funds because more people helped pick up litter during the same timeframe.
RevitalizeDIP encourages you to join our litter cleanup activities by choosing a new location and gathering a team of up to five people to help you.
After you and your team have picked up litter, post the following information in our Members Only Facebook Group:
- Location
- Date
- Team Member Names
- How long did you pick up litter
- Photos of the bags of litter you collected
RevitalizeDIP then reports your information to Mobile County’s Love your Community website.
Love your Community awards funds to non-profit organizations for helping to clean up Mobile County Alabama.
RevitalizeDIP uses those funds to help beautify our south Mobile City Peninsula, such as:
- The CVS Garden
- The Gulfdale Promenade Garden
- Billboard encouraging residents to help cleanup our DIP community
- More….
Every three months, a new article is published on our website listing cleanups with links to the post on Facebook.
Watch for RevitalizeDIP’s quarterly litter cleanup articles and share those posts with your friends and family with the link sharing feature on our website. (You can share our map too.)
