A message from Yvette Young, President of RevitalizeDIP about the 7/22/2025 Mayoral Forum:
Its been two days now since the mayoral forum; however, for those that were unable to attend, we wanted to give you an additional snapshot of what transpired.
First and foremost, there are so many to thank for the success of this event.
Although, it was our first [political forum], we are happy it turned out as well as it did and to report we had approximately 250 residents in attendance.
Special thanks goes out to the below:
- Event Space, set up/clean up BC Rain – Principal Williams, VP Bianca McGrew, VP Christopher Agee, Col Don Brady/JROTC, Custodian Marieo Parrish.
- Cindy Freeman – Planning meetings with BC Rain and Food Champs
- Judy Fell Burnham – Event sign in and picked up voter registration forms.
- Elaine Galloway – Picked up litter kits
- Janet Dyess – Voter Registration sign up
- Cheryl Bolton – Litter Advocate sign up
- Bobby Lankford – Moderator for RevitalizeDIP questions
- Ken Kleinschrodt – Moderator for POM questions
- Krys Riley – Timekeeper
- Concession – Lorraine Walker and Muriel Hightower
- POM questions/Live Stream – John Cutts
- Food Champs – Sponsored refreshments
The purpose of the forum was to hear directly from the candidates regarding the south DIP community.
Upon the conclusion of the forum, each candidate agreed should he/she win, they will sit down with our community within six months, to discuss the forum questions.
So now there is only one thing left to do…..VOTE August 26, 2025. If you haven’t made a plan to vote, please ensure to do so.
Since RevitalizeDIP is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization, we are not allowed to endorse any individual political candidate. Each voter should support whichever candidate you feel should be Mobile Alabama’s next Mayor.
