When will DIP have More Stores, Restaurants, etc…?
A message from Yvette Young, President, RevitalizeDIP:
Hello south DIP. One question residents ask over and over and over, is when are we going to have more stores, restaurants, etc…?
Yes, it is agreed throughout the community we would like more commerce.
However, every business persons primary objective is to make a profit.
This is how he/she pays their bills, take care of their family, etc.
Therefore; we as a community have to patronize the businesses we have in the community, if we want to see additional commerce.
This process is twofold,
- 1) Support by the city and
- 2) Support by the community.
Now that south DIP has been designated as a TIF district, the city recognizes our community needs an economic boost.
So now, as a community, lets patronize the businesses we have.
As you all know Food Champs has a new owner, has made renovations, and if we as a community support them, their support will continue.
Food Champs Dauphin Island Pkwy, is a proud sponsor of the Mayoral Forum, scheduled for July 22, 2025.
As a nonprofit our survival is based on sponsors, donors and volunteers.
Our community is entering a new chapter, let’s all pitch in and do what we can to RevitalizeDIP.
Lastly, are you all looking for a hot breakfast on your way to work in the mornings?
