Love Your Community Activities that Earn Beautification Hours

Some of you have asked how you can volunteer to help us earn more funds from the Love Your Community program.

Here is some information to answer your questions.

Happy Saturday, since the Mayoral Forum on July 22, 2025, we’ve seen more interest in our litter campaign. See below photo of activities that earn beautification hours. For example, since we had a table at the forum regarding our litter campaign, worked by two people, we earned four hours.

Also, anytime we work on our beautification projects at CVS and Gulfdale, we also earn beautification hours. See the below list and see how you can help RevitalizeDIP. Don’t forget to send the photos, so we may claim our hours. Have a safe and uneventful weekend. – Yvette Young, President, RevitalizeDIP

When you are ready to help RevitalizeDIP earn more funds, please email us at RevitalizeDIP@gmail.com.

Let us know how you want to improve our south Mobile community.

The easiest way to help is by picking up litter near your home and in your neighborhood.

Encourage your neighbors to do the same. Before long, your entire neighborhood is cleaner.

When you work in groups of five, each person’s time counts towards earning funds.

After you and your team have picked up litter, post the following information in our Members Only Facebook Group or email it to us at RevitalizeDIP@gmail.com.

  • Location of your litter cleanup
  • Date
  • Team member names
  • How long you and your team picked up litter
  • Photos of the bags of litter you collected

RevitalizeDIP then reports your information to Mobile County’s Love your Community website.

Love your Community awards funds to non-profit organizations for helping to clean up Mobile County Alabama.

RevitalizeDIP uses those funds to help beautify our south Mobile City Peninsula, such as:

  • The CVS Garden
  • The Gulfdale Promenade Garden
  • Billboard encouraging residents to help cleanup our DIP community
  • Hosting community recycling events
  • More….

If you have more questions, please let us know.

RevitalizeDIP is happy to answer as many questions as it takes to gain your help.

RevitalizeDIP encourages you to volunteer your time to help us reduce litter, crime and blight from our South Mobile community.
