The Mobile City Council posted the following about Mobile’s Annual Chat & Chew Senior Town Hall Luncheon on 6/27/25:
On June 26, Council President C.J. Small and Alabama State Representative Barbara Drummond hosted the Annual Chat & Chew Senior Town Hall Luncheon at the National Maritime Museum of the Gulf.
The event welcomed seniors from across the City Council District 3 and House District 103 communities for an afternoon of fellowship, information-sharing, and engagement.
The luncheon served as an open forum where local seniors had the opportunity to speak directly with Councilman Small, ask questions, and share feedback on city and state services that impact their daily lives.
Topics ranged from city infrastructure and accessibility to updates on programs supporting older adults.
Councilman Small emphasized how valuable events like this are for maintaining a strong connection between city government and the residents it serves.
He and Representative Drummond thanked attendees for their presence and participation, noting that the insight shared will help guide future priorities and decision-making.
Residents who were unable to attend are still encouraged to reach out to Councilman Small’s office at council3@cityofmobile.org or by phone at 251-208-7441 with any questions, comments, or concerns. #MobileCityCouncil #MobileDistrict3
