Wanted: Gardening Committee/Club Members
Hello everyone, hope you guys are enjoying the beautiful season of Spring.
As you know, one of our primary goals has been beautification projects.
However, along with these projects comes upkeep and maintenance.
We did the hard work with the help of our litter advocates, to earn funds to invest into the community; however, we cannot continue these beautification projects without the help of the community to help us maintain.
We currently have $1500.00 we’ve earned to invest into the community; however, it’s not feasible to do this when we have no committee to help us maintain.
All we would be doing is adding another site in the community that could easily become an eyesore.
Although we have earned funds, the majority of the work has been done by the board members.
In order to effectively govern as a board, pursuing donors, sponsors, partners, etc. we need a dedicated team of volunteers to assist with the additional projects we would like to pursue.
For example, there is so much more we would like to do at Gulfdale, primarily because it’s our site for our annual fundraiser, but more importantly it is a beautiful plot of land that could be a phenomenal landmark in the community.
We’ve asked in the past for a gardening committee/club to assist with our projects; however, it has not come to fruition.
We need this committee to act independently of the board and schedule/plan as needed for different areas in the community that need a little TLC.
The board will support this committee, with any/all supplies needed, in addition to assisting.
However, it is paramount for this to be a success, the committee acts independently of the board, partnered with a board liaison to assist.
Are you ready to assist us?, our community needs you.
Landscape increases property value and helps to decrease crime.
Please respond if you are willing to assist.
With a dedicated team, your assistance would only be needed once a month at best.
