Please Step Up – Reach Out – Get Involved
A message from Yvette Young, President, RevitalizeDIP:
Over the past few months, as we’ve grown and received more credibility in the community and the city, we’ve had a number of members requesting to join RevitalizeDIP.
We are more than 1200 members strong and have a wide reach in the community.
As a result of the more than 1200 members, please step up, reach out, get involved.
This community has enormous potential; however, in order to reach that potential, we have to work together.
It’s a brand new year, another opportunity to be involved in the community you live in.
We will continue our litter campaign with Love Your Community (LYC).
For those of you that are not familiar with this program, we receive money for beautification projects.

Our latest was the makeover of the Gulfdale flowerbed.
Thus far, we’ve earned $6,000.00.
All of those funds were invested in our community.
We currently have $1500.00, that we’ve not utilized.
During the board first quarter meeting we will be discussing what project will be next.
However, in the meantime, those of you that have litter kits, please ensure to use them.
It’s through litter collection that we’ve been able to do beautification projects.
If you have a litter kit and are not using it, please return it so we may give it to someone that will use it.
These kits are provided by LYC to help us reach our litter goals.
Imagine how much we could accomplish if each person that has a litter kit, picked up litter once a month.
For those of you that are new to RevitalizeDIP.
Please consider being active within the group and assist us when we need volunteers to help with our beautification projects.
These projects benefit everyone, additionally they provide value and aesthetics.
Lastly, we collaborate with the Peninsula of Mobile and the Riverside/DIP Community Action Group.
We all have the same goal and that is to improve the quality of life in our community.
The Riverside/DIP Community Action Group meets every second Tuesday of the month at the 1st Precinct located in the Piggly Wiggly Shopping Center.
A number of guests are asked to speak regarding multiple topics, providing answers to many questions residents often have.
Thank you for helping us to RevitalizeDIP and we look forward to what we can accomplish in 2025.
