Bobby Lankford – Parliamentarian (2024 – Current)
Bobby Lankford aka Bama Bob
Bobby bought a house on Dog River and has been a resident of the Parkway area since 1999.
Bobby graduated from Theodore High School in 1980 before starting college at the University of Alabama, then finished up his degree at South Alabama.
In the 80s, He owned an Auto Parts and Speed Shop located in Tillman’s Corner, which he later sold.
He spent 26 years with Ward International Trucks and worked his way up to Director of all their locations.
Once retired from Ward, he started his next career in the restaurant business.
Wanting to live and do business in the Parkway area, he purchased and remodeled a building at 3758 Dauphin Island Parkway and named it Bama Bob’s BBQ.
Bobby had spent many years racing cars around the south before deciding to compete in BBQ competitions all across the nation. After being ranked in the top 10 nationally (and worldwide) and winning many awards, Bobby’s friends and family thought a BBQ restaurant would be the best fit.
