Yvette Young is the President of RevitalizeDIP
Yvette worked for the Federal Bureau of Investigation from 1985 to 2017.
During her career with the FBI, Yvette initially worked as a Professional Support employee for nine and a half years in a variety of capacities with the most notable being a Computer Equipment Analyst (CEA). As a CEA Yvette worked on the team to acquire IT related items to include software, hardware, development and maintenance. While working on this team Yvette contributed substantially to the automation of the FBI, bureau wide.
In 1994 Yvette was accepted to the FBI Academy in Quantico, VA to become a Special Agent. At the FBI Academy she trained for 16 weeks to include, academics, firearms and physical fitness.
Upon graduating from the academy Yvette worked multiple federal violations and programs across the country and abroad.
Yvette retired from the FBI in July 2017, as a Supervisory Special Agent.
Seeing a need in her hometown community of Mobile, AL, Yvette sought to improve the quality of life in the South DIP community, to address multiple issues including community engagement, commerce, development, litter, blight and crime.
Upon seeing this need, Yvette engaged with numerous residents and city officials, where it was concluded a change was needed, for the future of the community. Thereafter, RevitalizeDIP was formed of which we received 501(c)3 status early 2020.
Currently Yvette is the President where she continues to collaborate, discuss and seek support for RevitalizeDIP, ultimately to restore it to the safe, clean community she grew up in.
